From Milan Viale Zara (highway to Lecco) or Como

nearby Lecco you firstly find the sign “Lecco Lago – Oggiono – Galbiate”: do not take this junction but continue along the highway up to the tunnel, length approx. 2-3 km; after the tunnel you will reach the ponte A. Manzoni del fiume Adda (A.Manzoni bridge over River Adda).
As soon as you leave the river behind take the first junction on the right LECCO BIONE – BERGAMO and follow direction Corso Carlo Alberto, taking the road under the overpass, in the same direction, up to the roundabout. Once in the roundabout turn left into Corso Carlo Alberto and continue another 300 metres up to the petrol station on the left of the road. You will see the sign reading Hotel Don Abbondio.
Just after the petrol station turn left into Via Plava and continue 200 metres; once at the end of the street turn right into Piazza Era square, the location of Hotel Don Abbondio.

From Vimercate (state highway) - Monza Merate Calco:

once your reach the village of Garlate in the vicinity of Lecco you will see Lake Garlate on the right. Follow the main road up to the first traffic lights in the next village: Pescate.
Immediately after the second roundabout in Pescate continue on the right until you cross ponte A. MANZONI bridge.
Once you have crossed ponte A. Manzoni bridge take the first junction on the right Lecco Bione – Bergamo and follow direction Corso Carlo Alberto, taking the road under the underpass, in the same direction, up to the roundabout.

Once in the roundabout turn left into Corso Carlo Alberto and continue another 300 metres up to the petrol station on the left of the road. You will then see the sign reading Hotel Don Abbondio. From Lecco centre

from piazza Manzoni square take Corso Martiri Della Liberazione (direction BERGAMO). 50 metres after the second traffic lights you will see a petrol station on the right. You will then see the sign reading Hotel Don Abbondio.
Just before the petrol station turn right into Via Plava and continue approx. 200 metres; once at the end of the street turn right into Piazza Era square, the location of Hotel Don Abbondio.

From Bergamo

approaching Lecco, after the village of Maggianico, you will find the first roundabout: you will see a petrol station in front of the roundabout and a shopping centre at the left. Continue along the main road on the left: a little further you will see another shopping centre. After 100 metres you will reach a second roundabout: continue along the main road leading downhill on the left and drive under the railway bridge up to the third roundabout.

Once at the third roundabout keep to the right and continue straight ahead into Corso Carlo Alberto, follow it 300 metres up to the petrol station on the left of the street. You will see the sign reading Hotel Don Abbondio.
Just after the petrol station turn left into Via Plava and continue approx. 200 metres; once at the end of the street turn right into Piazza Era square, the location of Hotel Don Abbondio.

We were two adults and one child accomodated in the room from attic. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable room. The staff was very nice and friendly. Very nice location, on the river side, 15 min to downtown
